Rules for the Modern Dance Competition
- This contest is "open" to any interested contingent.
- A Team will be composed by a minimum of 6 dancers and a maximum of 10.
- Names of Dancers and Group name must be submitted on or before March 26 2009 to the MAPEH Department, BCNSHS.
- Only a maximum of 10 teams will be accepted. The registration committee will be following a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS. There will be a registration fee of Php 100.00.
- Dance number must be in form of CD with the duration of 3-5 minutes only. This includes set-up and preparation.
- Props and costumes will be allowed provided that every performance, the team responsible must clean-up immediately before the next contingent performs. An interval of 15 seconds between performances will be provided to serve as clean-up time.
- As safety and precautionary measure, any team that will opt to use fire (e.g. torch or lamps) must inform the organizers to inspect the safety of the props.
- Use of water as part of the team's performance either as accessory or props is STRICTLY prohibited. Party poppers, cloths, and banners may be used.
- Contestants must be in the contest venue 30 minutes before the start of the program. This means that they must be in the venue before 7:00 PM. Failure to do so would mean disqualification. An official time for the purpose of synchrony will be provided during the submission of entries.
- Decision of judges is final and irrevocable.
Criteria for Judging
Groups will be judged on the following entries.
